Computers, Photography, and Mathematics

About Me

I grew up in Connecticut and went to school in Pennsylvania, graduating from Bucknell University in 1976 with a degree in mathematics.

My first job was in banking where I met my wife. After getting married we moved to Vermont. I taught for a year and then started working at the Killington Ski Area. I was divorced while at Killington, but stayed there for 15 years in a variety of positions, with most of those years in accounting. I learned a great deal of accounting and spent two winters helping to setup our financial and related systems after we purchased the Bear Mountain Ski Area in California, and Waterville Valley Ski Area in New Hampshire. After Killington was purchased by American Skiing Company I was scheduled to become the Controller of the Sunday River Ski Area in Bethel, Maine. Having settled in the Upper Valley Region of Vermont and New Hampshire and wanting to stay, I left the company.

My next job brought me to where I am now, the Mountain School of Milton Academy, a one-semester program for juniors in high
school. My responsibilities here include taking care of some of the business functions, teaching mathematics, and technical support.
It is during the time at the Mountain School that I have learned most of what I know about computers and photography.
